In all seriousness, I think unless your first names are supper long, you could just use both names, Tom & Anna's gun store, for example. If they are long, maybe a LastName Gun Store.

It is easy to get caught up in coming up with stuff, whereas KISS principle usually applies.

That is, if you want to tie your names to the business name - do that and don't hide it by using Initials.

Or, drop the name idea all together and go with something generic.

      The gun lobby is out.
That is being used in Louisiana.
They have the .com and a Facebook page.
I really don't want tactical in the name. I feel thats a fad.
      Tacticool armory is kinda funny.

              "Hillary's gun shop"?
              "Recount"?
              "Snowflake's"?

                  Weapon Shops of Isher

                  I'm done.

The Weapon Shops of Isher and its sequel The Weapon Makers detail the workings of Isher civilization and the adventures of Robert Hedrock, The One Immortal Man, as he keeps it in balance in the face of attempts by the Weapon Makers, who have forgotten their purpose as a permanent opposition, and the strong government of the Empress, Innelda Isher, with its intimate connections to a network of financial institutions, to undermine each other. The Weapon Shops provide the populace with defensive weapons and an alternative legal system.

The Isher/Weapon Shops novels are very rare examples of Golden Age science fiction that explicitly discuss the right to keep and bear arms, specifically guns. Indeed, the motto of the Weapon Shops, repeated several times, is "The right to buy weapons is the right to be free". Van Vogt's guns have virtually magical properties, and can only be used in self-defense (or for suicide).

The political philosophy of the Weapon Shops is minimalist. They will not interfere with the corrupt imperial monarchy of the Isher government, on the grounds that men always have a government of the type they deserve: no government, however bad, exists without at least the tacit consent of the governed. The mission of the Weapon Shops therefore is merely to offer single individuals the right to protect themselves with a firearm, or, in cases of fraud, access to a "Robin Hood" alternative court system that judges and awards compensation from large, imperial merchant combines to cheated individuals. Because the population has access to this alternative system of justice, the Isher government cannot take the final step toward totalitarianism.

T&A is kinda catchy I guess. My favorite local shops are West Coast Ammo and Bullseye Sporting Goods, neither of which is very creative but the customer service in each is absolutely phenomenal. Great shops

On the other hand, theres Counterstrike in Hemet which left me completely unimpressed. Didn't suck, just wasn't anywhere near what I was expecting when I read reviews about this FFL. But you can't deny that it is a cool name.

And then, theres Warrior 1 in Riverside which I just don't like. Had to do a few PPTs there and every time I've cringed at the types of employees behind the counter. Imagine a mix between a motocross themed clothing shop for "bros", a gun store and a Hot Topic. I wish I was joking. Now in their defense, I think W1 is a niche shop that focuses on serving cops (they're a blue label dealer) and maybe most cops act/dress/speak like those employees on their off duty time. They're still in business so obviously these guys are doing something right. Just ain't my cup'a tea.

Moral of the story: the name of your business is important since a good name will get a few more people to pull over and take a look, or at least remember you long enough to google you when they get home. But sealing the deal after people actually enter your place of business is another thing. After visiting the shops above, I wouldn't give a dime to either of the shops with cool names. And on the flip side, I love the two shops I mentioned above that I give discounts for any buyer who is willing to PPT at one of the shops I mentioned in the beginning.
Unless we keep the barbarian virtues, gaining the civilized ones will be of little avail. Oversentimentality, oversoftness, washiness, and mushiness are the great dangers of this age and of this people." Teddy Roosevelt

What's your image for the shop? For the future of the shop?

Hopefully you'll be very successful and the business will go on for a long long time.

You might consider these thoughts when you title the business.

                          Gecko's Guns and Gear

Seeing that name would force me into the shop at least once.

No doubt. I'd stop, too. That's a great name.
