I will post something you need to keep in mind. Everyone likes to show targets up close, but that is not what you are seeing and when you see the true sight picture you quickly realize there is a good reason many guys actually like the 25 yard zero for real live combat.
notice the size of a man at 200 yards with a small dot. with only slight jiggling and / or that target moving and all you are doing is spraying the area hoping for a hit. and this is on a man stand without hiding behind cover.
with a 100 yard zero the 5.56 drops like a rock, so any distance farther and you are really spraying into the air dropping rounds in a huge arc.

now this is a 25 yard zero with both a 2MOA dot and 4 MOA dot. Notice you have the same situation, but you can accuratly aim at the target at a much greater range. you are still raining down on them, but at least you have them in sight.

it all comes down to your use.
if you plan on long range threats like outside in open areas, mountain ranges, zero at 25 yards
if you plan on city and suburban threats, choose the 50 yard or 100 yard zero.
