If that were me I would have taken a couple of shots with my 50BMG without warning him to stand back as I always do to avoid the heck about to be unleashed on him and then he would have left.

I've had people ask me why I have some goofy grip wrap, but not in an invasive way. They are legitimately curious.

As for the guy you encountered? MYOB and stay in your lane. How do you know it's not a RAW from the previous two bans? Or home build featureless rifles? If they don't bother to understand the rules then stay out of it.

It was me that complained to the RO, you seemed to be having too good of a time and you shouldn't be aloud to be happier then me. Next time shoot with a frowny face and complain more.

That happened to me once with my Par1, AK pump variant. One of the shooters stopped and told me I was not allowed to have a sliding stock or pistol grip on my AK. I said, no, I'm good. When he left he went and talked to the range Master. The RM comes over and asks me about my AK, I said it's a pump, if the guy that talked to you about it would have asked me questions instead of telling me I was breaking the law, I would have educated him. The RM laughed and thanked me. He knocked an hour off my range fee. lol
