      When I feel the need for something like that, I just cut up some skateboard grip tape. I've used it in a few different applications, more often than not on non-polymer handles.

      (Like the front strap of a 1911.)

            You guys just convinced me, I ordered the rubberized ones last night, along with the Pearce grip extension. I just re-qualified with my CCW Shield and having a bit of extra grip for presentation would be helpful. In the back of my mind, I always worry about pulling and drawing my subcompacts. In a moment of stress, it would be pretty bad to draw and have the pistol fly pout of your hands because of lack of purchase. Never happened to me with live fire drills but if your hands were sweaty and you were under stress, I could see how it could happen. Could mean the difference between living and dying.
