The Walking Dead: "Make me a bullet"

If you caught The Walking Dead this last Sunday, you may have noticed that a Desert Eagle was fired once during the episode, and the casing was later recovered. Rosita was also able to recover a Beretta M9 variant in the woods, and at the end of the episode she is apparently asking Eugene to make her a workable cartridge with the Desert Eagle brass.

    Couple issues with that.

As far as I know, Magnum Research only makes Desert Eagles in .357 Mag, .44 Mag and .50 AE. And as far as I know, no M9 variants or copies fire magnum calibers. She would then be requiring the case to be necked down to accommodate the 9mm chamber of the Beretta.

Did anyone else find this interesting? Wouldn't this only be technically possible if the Deagle was .357?

Caught that also. Its clearly a rimmed case so it wouldnt chamber anyways. Honeslty its just one in a long line of retarded firearm related errors on the walking dead. You're asking too much from a show that had a guy aim a rifle with his blind eye and countless head shots at 100yds with no sights at all.

Well, the base needs to be machined down for it to fit, no matter what you do to the neck.

Assuming the Beretta was 9mm, they several shootouts in the compound, right? There should be tons of brass for the picking. If there was a single shooter with them, theyd have been policing brass from day one.

Then all theyd have to do is find a garage like mine, no need to find an arms factory like they implied is nearby.

Rosita is fixing to go Warsaw Ghetto on Negan?

        It's a TV show.

Wasn't one of the characters running around with an AR with no sights or optics?

        It's a TV show.

Th casing can always be used to make a jacket while swagging a new bullet.

This is why I can't watch this show. I couldn't even finish the first episode. It's not just firearms related errors, it's everything in life related errors. I have no idea why it's so popular, it's so lame and illogical on every level.

You guys are all going to be super impressed next week when Eugene goes into the intracacies of reloading and explains why the case she brought is impractical for loading for the pistol she found, and sends her out on a spent brass scavenging mission.

It's based off a fictional comic book story about zombies, what do you expect? Do you also scoff at the Marvel and DC movies too?

Take it for what it is, entertainment not meant to be taken seriously.

Extra points if Eugene asks people to collect spent 22LR shell casings...these can be used to make jackets for 223/5.56 bullets.

I cringed last season when they hinted.. Now politicians will watch and think there is some sort of reloading epidemic. (Because, everything Politicians know about firearms was learned from TV and the movies)

Maybe she also stashed a Desert Eagle.

maybe the show guys just assumed that the baby desert eagle that shoots 9mm looks the same?
