Colt slide on a non-colt frame- someones project frankengun. Could be a Caspian Commercial frame? Definitely not worth $900 - might not even be worth $600 to buy someone elses problems.

We went through a similar consignment "claimed to be a Colt" circle jerk a week or 2 ago. Calguns buyer got a full refund, but it was like pulling teeth. Good on you for doing your homework. You should be seeing Colt's name and location on the right side of the frame near the s/n. A non-Colt frame is not necessarily a bad thing...what matters is what parts are inside and, more importantly, who built the weapon.

Where is the shop? I ask only to definitely help Calgunners keep their eyes wide open. Some will counter with "geez...so many guns that nobody can know everything. I counter with BS...that's their job and they've got the internet.
