      Your's sound semi-custom.

Mine only took 2 weeks... no really.

Johns a great gunsmith with talent and not to mention a helluva guy. Not always the easiest guy to get a hold of either..looks like the quick response the OP was looking for....just happened. I'm sure Badice isn't looking to flame John.

I've been very patient. I've called and spoke to him several times. I don't think 11 weeks is being impatient.

To the OP: John is good, and very sought after, and thorough, meaning slow. You don't even want to know how long my rifle took (much longer than the OP, although it was a much larger job) - it's not measured in weeks or months, but bigger time periods.

Start by communicating with John (via voice-mail, PMs, and e-mail); he is hard to reach, but completely reliable and honest. I would recommend that you become patient and wait for John to get done.

Another question: If your job is pretty simple (just custom engraving on a lower), using an ultra-high-end gunsmith like John is a bit overkill. I have used Lauer (LCW) to quickly and efficiently obtain engraved lowers; I'm sure others can do that too.

Dagummit! I haven't ordered a damn thing from M24Armorer, and I still haven't got it yet!!

Compliments to M24Armorer for posting this thread.

I noticed that you had some negative iTrader feedback...methinks this is indicative of a trend here.
I sold a firearm to a lowlife, that was my fault. I should have trusted my gut. I did not post here to flame M24armorer. Just looking for suggestions to resolve my problem. Ive been told that my lower was shipped for the last 4 weeks or so. I just like a direct answer and i can accept that.

If you read your OP it comes off as a flame instead of looking for advice.

You asked here about how to get a refund without even asking the vendor first.

I've been waiting for my upper receiver from Bohica Arms for 13 months now. I ordered in December of '07, his initial shipping estimate was March of '08.

I personally think you're being impatient.

                    I've waited:
                    11 months for a JAE-100 G2 stock
7 months for a LaRue complete Stealth Upper
                    2 months for ammo
Still waiting for a piece as we speak (after 8+ months...hehe).
All this before people even heard of Obama.
I guess patience is a requirement when it comes to our hobby.

That said, the folks I deal with always answer my emails/calls/voicemails to give status. But I try not to hound them and only contact them once or twice a month.

Not knowing the full story here and judging solely by M24's reputation on this board, I think a little patience is warranted given the current political situation.

I understand the OP's complaint. It's not about the wait, but the excuses he's getting.

I've heard from more than one person that M24 doesn't give direct answers when asked about what's happening. "It shipped yesterday" or "It's boxed up ready to go"......etc for weeks.

That's just bad form and bad business.

Hope you get your gun sometime.

                        If you want custom.

                        1. Determine if the vendor gives a quality product.

                        2. Ask for a time frame and then triple it.

                        3. Not uncommon for custom to take a year.

                        4. Relax

                          Nope, he's getting a refund.

So it's my bad form and my buisness....

                          Yup, you are right.

I'll post a proper reply to all of this later.

Was it October 2005? If not, be patient. There are very few lowers available now, let alone custom.
