Approved for my CCW!

Just got back from my interview with the sheriff and I was approved for my CCW! The interview only took about 5 minutes. Sheriff Dean Wilson is a great guy. Now I have to call and find out about a qualification course.



Update - 1-30-09
Got my license in the mail today! Didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would. I picked up my application on 12-30-08. They only do finger printing a couple days a week so I didn't drop it off until 1-6-09. I also waited a couple days after I was approved before I got around to taking the qualification course, so over all it was very fast. Now I just need to get an out of state Oregon CCW.

Yep Del Norte County. Just noticed I didn't have my location filled in on the forums.

It was great the sheriff just asked me a couple questions while he was signing a few spots on my application. As soon as he finished signing it the interview was over and he said I was approved and to come back after I get qualified.

I am about ready to apply in Riverside County, as I have been told the dept. is fairly good with ccw. I have very good JC and all the other requirements.
