Support Tabors!! I knew about the Mythbusters connection but not the Iggy hassles.....very interesting. I've been lurking and shopping there since the SF Gun Exchange closed. Frank is great and I always get a huge kick out of stopping there for goodies, in the very shadow of SF, the largest anti-gun city in the West. Does he still have that Barret? How cool is that......another slap in the face to the CA anti-gun lefties........

Anyway, a half-hour spent at Tabors is more fun and useful than hours of Mythbusters or running across Iggy and doing the desk-shooting pantomine. I salute Frank, and I hope he doesn't decide to retire anytime soon.........

[QUOTE=baldoHHO;1948400]I shamelessly went into Toto's garbage dump bin and unearth their secret pizza/pasta sauce- i retrieved the sauce can with full label marking- will be up for auction shortly

Let me know when the bidding begins.....

Frank did a good trigger job on my 1911, slimmed the grip scales, and added a vintage combat hammer on top of it from his own parts collection. I also got my M1S90 Tactical from there. The Mexican restaurant next door is pretty good too.

Frank must be a really popular guy for TV folks..
I went by on one of my rare days off to browse but never got farther than the closed entrance doors..
Peeked in and saw Frank being interviewed by some camera crew..they were pointed to a cannon..
They had lights and everything set up too.
I hope I can get by there again soon.

I stopped shoping at Tabor's after he charged $50.00 for a PPT. While picking up my firearm Frank said his lawyers said it was OK to charge a $15.00 doc fee on top of the $35.00 allowed by law.

They do the same thing with regular purchases too. I don't like that charge, but I deal with it when buying hard to find consignment guns.

I shop there quite a bit and really like it there. He's also one of the best gunsmith's around. I remember in the early 90's my brother bragging about what a wonderful job he did for him.

He is a good guy, good gunsmith, and has a lot of selection. But what happened to him now? I called his business phone number (650) 589-0505 and it was busy couple days in a row?

I just realized there were two gun stores here.

Sounds like this is the better one, no?

Oh, and I had some of that Toto pizza tonight for the first time. Had 5 slices

nice little shop that carries the stuff that you find online. Good selection of cleaning and maintenance product. Price is pretty steep compared to online though.
