    TABOR'S Shooters Supply

Past by there first time yesterday going to our Family's favorite pizza place since 1970's (Toto's in San Bruno since 1930 's - 1 of 3 original that started in San Francisco) and spoke to Frank (owner-used to be San Bruno PD and used to be friendly with Iggy Chinn until Iggy brought Swat to confiscate his
legalized (non) assault weapons). Great Stories. Drop by.
Even though he won his case against Iggy - will never touch OLL type materials ever again because of lawyers cost (20K).

Was it tough for Iggy to find Hats that fit (6 3/4) like it was for the last SF Police chief to find a Service/dress Cap ?

Back in '91, I was in ther looking at a cap and ball revolver and I was told that it would have to be DROSed. It was right after the latest form of DROS came into effect and I'm sure he didn't understand the new law at that time. I wonder if he still only sells BP guns with paperwork and a 10 day wait? Other than that one instance, I've only heard good things about him and his shop.

Tabor's is a fine shop. They have an excellent selection in new and used pistol and rifles, and their accessories. Reloading supplies too.

I have seen some very nice consignment arms float through their shop as well. In fact I have a couple.

A visit to Tabor's is in order if you live on the peninsula.

Every time I'm there he's always telling a story that I've seen on Calguns. So he must browse the forums often.

                      Frank's a great guy.

Felonious Phil & I always love visiting the shop.

I don't think Frank was ever 'friends' with Iggy other than casual contact with an LEO that was also a shooter -- but most certainly not after Iggy took him thru the wringer for clearly legal conduct and lied on affadavits/search warrants.

Frank's case, though is one of many estabilishing a long pattern of past DOJ staff and some current staff using the agency to criminalize behavior that should have been dealt with first in a regulatory fashion.

I believe we'll hear more about this (not Frank specifically but the whole contentius DOJ BoF 'attack-before-clarify' strategy.)

Tabors is a great shop despite the lack of evil stuff. But I don't fault him for that.

I was in there buying ammo a few days after the shop was broken into. Never said a thing. I hope he is doing well.

That German Shepard is huge. Eats good im sure.

Gator, I heard that Iggy actually sleeps in an old banana hammock.

Tabors is a good place to go. Frank really has done a lot for us and put up a good fight. Although he won't sell OLLs I have noticed that the amount of AR accessories has gone up quite a bit in the last couple of years. He won't fill your head with FUD on OLLs just chooses to stay away from them due to how he got asraped by the DOJ, and I can respect that. They do require a HSC to handle any of the handguns which is kind of sucky, but San Bruno isn't the town it used to be. Prices are no bargain, but then again, they are not over the top either, and you can often find some real good deals in the clearance bin and on consignments. The fact is that given the state of affairs in the PRK, gun store overhead is high and the prices reflect that fact.

Several days later the bolt was rusted shut but I guess the fouling wasnt TOO bad.
