I'm not into autographs so I can't think of anyone that'll induce me to pay a premium.

But as for the autograph bringing down the value of of the gun...the question is, if a total douchebag such as Piers Morgan or Kanye West autographed a perfectly good firearm, would I still buy it at the current market value?

Yeah, I'd still buy it. It'll be a conversation piece and eventually the ink will wear off after cleaning anyway.

Actually, if some no namer inscribed on the wood stock with a black sharpie in huge font, I wouldn't pay market value. Some notoriety is better than nothing I suppose.

I have a Stoeger coach gun hanging on the wall, autographed by Bruce Campbell.

There you go. That's an example of an autograph that'll bring down the value for me. Have no idea who he is...even after Googling him.

You have lived a poor, sheltered, humorless life. I pity you.

I'd just as soon have Obama sign anything of mine as McCain. Horrible disgrace as a senator. Pathetic presidential campaign. No need to debate what may or may not have happened in Hanoi.

Sure, and your life has been gloriously rich, adventurous and joyful for seeing Bruce Campbell on the screen. I'm so jealous...not.

Jealous or no, you nailed it. Seeing Bruce Campbell act in various movies has enriched my life and helped provide the diversity of experience necessary to becoming a well rounded person.
