Not wearing eye pro while shooting is like not wearing a rubber in Subic City. Sure , you can do it to be cool , but screaming in the head is no joke.

It's probably not far off of a near reality with the way things are going.

I just use the prescription eyeglasses I wear every day. I was under the impression that's adequate.

I used to as well. Now I don't.

This is pretty much mandatory reading:

The team at Lucky Gunner Labs exhaustively tests some of the most common shooting glasses that gun owners wear at the range for eye protection.

I personally don't wear eye protection. I also don't wear ear protection unless I'm indoors.

Just yesterday at the range I got hit in my glasses by one of my own ejected casings. Left a ding in my right lense just a little above my pupil. If I didn't have glasses on I'd have lost my right eye.

I use Oakley radar path with a photo chromatic lense. It's good for both indoors and out doors. They fit my fat face well. I wouldn't have bought this myself but I'm glad I got it as a gift from my wife.

The first time you have a piece of brass cut your nose from an out of battery detonation you will never shoot without eye protection.

ESS Crossbow Supressors with MSA Sordin Supreme Pro X muffs with gel seals. The combination of flat temple arms and gel seals is unbeatable. No fogging problems whatsoever.

                          Those suppressors really are dynamite.

I've been shooting without eye/ear protection ever since I learned how to shoot. It's been over 10 years and I'm still fine. I don't recommend not wearing ear and eye pro, but this is just my preference.

When I shot over 20 years ago, I did not wear glasses. Now that I have glasses, I may need to buy a different style. Those Pilla look nice but pricey.
I am cognizant of safety, so not planning on shooting without. Great stories about why you should wear them.

Snap on safety glasses with built in ear plugs. Literally the envy of all my friends. Perfect, two birds with one stone.
