What's your eye pro preference?

In my experience, and I've been wearing them daily at my job for 27 years, I like Oakley M frame pro. I do wear some of the other ones that the company provides, but given my choice, those are my favorite.

I never agreed with safety glasses, gloves or knee pads as a requirment for firearm sports. Combat is another thing, but just standing at a firing line it should be the Shooters choice to wear or not.

My all time Favorites were Oakley Scarface sadly they were stolen and no longer made .

I would seriously disagree with that as far as the glasses are concerned. You only have one set of eyes just like your ears.

I am so glad I had eye protection on a few weeks ago at a training class when someone shooting reloads had some of his ammo come apart and debris from it hit my glasses and also lodged a small piece of shrapnel in my neck. If I had not been wearing eye protection I might be out an eye. Multiple people got shrapnel and some were bleeding.

That's very libertarian of you! I actually agree. Your eyes, your call. I'll admit... Lots of times if I'm not forced to, I'll 86 eye pro. Private ranges you have to wear it. Blm land... Not so much. It does serve its purpose, however. This new comfy eyewear I've obtained has be wanting to wear eye pro now. It's comfy, adds contrast to targets, and protects my eye balls.

I have a Wiley brand. It's certainly worth it to spend more on eye protection. The cheap ones scratch easily. I end up throwing them away rather quickly.

I wear my Oakley flak jackets almost all day, every day for the past 2 years. They have held up very well and have taken a lot of abuse.

They have taken fragments from a 45acp when splatter came back. I felt the junk hit my face and it stung quite a bit. They've had chunks of safety wire hit them, the dog nosing me in the face, banging into stuff...

My buddy had a pair of Oakley radar (?) get ran over by a AAV and they were still intact.

Oakley has my business.

For indoor ranges I wear cheapo clears. So usually the loaners at iron sights. If it's dark and I'm shooting, it's probably with a NVG so glasses aren't an option there.

If it's common sense to wear protection, what if it was the law? What if the court could press negligence against you if didn't wear eyes and ears in a self defense situation?

It's probably not far off of a near reality with the way things are going.

I don't think so. I think it's the reality we live in, sir. Overthinking is a bullet button. Eyes and ears are common sense... You said so yourself!

I use Pilla Sport Panther X6 Post as I wear prescription glasses. I use it for trap shooting and it has worked out great for me. The design is really nice and you can swap out the front lens to a different one very easily, just 3 snap buttons and you're done.

For those who wear prescription lenses, this is THE shooting glasses to get. It is pretty expensive though, more expensive than many of the guns you'll see at the shooting range. Thank goodness for Flexible Spending Account, HSA and Vision care insurance, or it would've been very expensive for me to buy.
