We have a relative visiting from Lebanon and we started talking about guns. He does government security for a well know individual there. Apparently ammo prices are really expensive over there. 50 rounds of FMJ 9mm are $100 dollars . He also carries a Glock 19 and he says that they can run 3-4 thousand dollars each. When i told him the prices of ammo here i was expecting him to be surprised at how expensive it is , as ammo prices have risen throughout the years ,but i guess in the grand scheme of things we have it good.

So yeah just wanted to share....

it doesn't help that lebanon isn't exactly a country where guns and ammo are widely available for the average citizen.

we have low ammo prices due to the fact that it is a easily accessible item with a wide buying base.

if ammo makers could only sell to 1% of the current market in USA you can bet that ammo prices would be through the roof. when only the super wealthy or politically connected own guns, ammo prices aren't a major concern

like how those we own exotic super cars don't exactly complain about gas prices to feed their thirsty million dollar beasts.

I was in Italy a few weeks back. It was 1.56 Euros/liter. That translates to about $6.50/gallon.
