OLL Shoot In Nevada Sept 16th &17th!!!

Be aware that if you take 395 north toward the Sierra Army Depot and Pyramid lake from Reno it goes back into California. I drove by and saw a CHP and thought wtf? Why is the CHP here, then I looked at a map. He was just waiting at the border *eek*.

As much as love the idea of unpinning mags at Boomtown, Im probally going to have to say that this may be a bad idea. . .hmmm.. . just possibly. . umm. . yea... bad idea!
But other than that, I have to say that the response that Ive recieved has been for the most part very good! Iven also had quite a few poeple who cant come up for the whole weekend because of work related things, and asking if they could get a price break on the weekend. So ive decided to try this. Tell me what you folks think, and we can go from there.
Im going to provide all the targets and incidentals (trash bags, knives, forks, paper plates, etc etc) I will also provide a steak dinner and all the fixings, for everyone on Saturday evening. Im going to ask that everyone who comes donate $75.00. this way it makes it fair for everyone who can come, if even for just 2 days, As for the rest of the weekend meals ( breakfast, lunch snacks, etc etc) that will be on the shooter themselves. This way people arent thinking that im trying to make a fast buck here, and its also more money that you can spend on AMMO!!!!!! We've got about 15 people so far that want to come up, we have offers of LEGAL full autos being brought, such as. . Colt M16A1, Hk53, MP5, American 180, Colt XM177E2 and several suppressors. (thx J.) These will be available to check out, (and possibly shoot, if you folks ask VERY NICELY and maybe even throw a few pennys in the hat for his ammo, hes currently disabled, so $$$ is tight right now. And I think we all have been there once or twice in our lives) We also have folks bringing out a M1919 belt fed, cant wait to see that one! So if anyone is interested, theres plenty of time, space and fun to be had for everyone!

Directions To The Shoot!

Hey! Hows it going? We will be meeting up in Sacramento and from there driving up to Nevada on the I-80. Driving thru Reno on the I-80 thru to the city of Lovelock, approximately 75 miles past Reno, we will exit there at Main Street and follow it down to the intersection of State Route 398 (its only a few blocks down) we will turn right on SR 398 and go approximately 1 3/4 miles to SR 399. We will be turning Left onto SR 399 and following it as it turns into Seven Troughs Road. Follow 399/Seven Troughs Road thru to where Seven Troughs changes to a Dirt road exiting to the right hand side. It will be approximately 2.5 miles to Vernon. Look for a sign with the letters "O.L.L." on the side of the road pointing the correct way. This will be a pretty big sign, with red letters, so it wont be hard to see. At the point that you exit onto the dirt road, you will drive following this road for approximately 15 miles. You will drive up one small hill range, down into the valley, up another small range and down into the next valley. At one point, look for a old shot up van, and past that old rusted out DUMP TRUCK on the right hand side of the road. you will pass over a cattle guard on the road, and the next left will be where the shoot is. I will post a big sign where you exit from the main road to where it changes to a dirt road, and I will post a marker along the entire path approxmiately every mile and a half or so along the route once you hit the Dirt road. This should alleviate any concerns about whether you are heading the right way or not. The marker will be yellow caution tape streamer with 3 pieces of caution tape hanging from it so that way you know what it is. Any questions can be sent to me here at Strmfeathr@yahoo.com

The person that is bringing the full autos has requested that those that wish to shoot them not use reloads, or "junk" ammo, ie; wolf ammo, Guatemalan corrosive, and a reminder to those that are wanting to shoot them, I personally am asking for a friendly donation to him to help him along as he is disabled.
