CLP on the inside. Frog lube on the outside to even the finish, and it smells great compared to hoppe's 9, soaks in to the finish without leaving a sopping mess.

Realistically doesn't need it but if I use too much CLP the gun literally drips with it for while and it can get everywhere. I've had it get into the Case Foam etc. I have even had CLP splash around while firing the weapon**

That's an absolutely terrible idea, considering what happens when that frog lube garbage mixes with anything with petroleum in it.

You should not be using frog lube on any gun and most certainly not an ar nor caking it on.
Frog lube is a tourist trap for the novice and the uninforned of the shooting sports. No offense meant to anyone.
Unless if you are raising frogs, you should not even have frog lube around tge house.
For gun lubrication, use gun oil like Hoppe, Remoil, etc. Anything made of fruits and vegatables is a no no for a gun.

I use FL on all my guns and have never had an issue. Works great and smells great too. Just my personal experience. I could care less what people say about it. It works. I go by what I see, not what the haters say.

If used Correctly it works Great!!! That being said I really feel it depends on the firearm. I run Froglube on my ARs and Glocks but I notice it needs heat to function, Meaning my BCG gets really slick and wet after a few rounds. However I also tried it on a Kriss Vector. Seems that doesn't Like Froglube that much as the moving parts don't get to warm enough. Using slip2000 on that pretty successfully. Just remember on your first application to strip and heat up the parts before you apply that stuff. you do not have to cake it on.

Lol, I've never had problems with FrogLube. ARs, 1911s, 226, M&P9, lever gun, revolver. Just applied it. No special application process. I've even gunked up my AR and 1911 with the paste. Not a single hiccup. My dads browning lever guns action was very smooth with frog lube. Switched to Breakfree and now it's all gunked up and feels like theres nasty thick grease. The Breakfree cleans much better than FL though. I'm going to switch back to FL or get some more Slip2000. Or try that VTAC approved CLP.

I love frog lube, it works fantastic here.

Not on my guns but on my garage door rails, window frame rails, etc. My windows slide open like butter. My garage door no longer squeaks and groans when opening it. I've not found anything that fixes that garage door noise except Frog lube.

Wipe it on wet, let it sit for ten minutes and then wipe it off with a clean cloth. Smooth as butter.

I also use my spray can of Rem Oil on my door locks and hinges, it's great for sticky door locks. Hoppes #9 is a great smelling salt, it will wake the dead.

Most gun cleaning products have a good use on something other than a gun. The guns get all Slip 2000 products.

By "wet" you don't need to cake it on. As long as you have a thin shiny coat on the bolt at the start of your shooting session, you're good to go the whole day without reapplication - assuming you won't be shooting thousands of rounds that day.

I run frog lube on everything except my wheel guns. Use it generously on your AR though don't cake it on. Use very sparingly on Glock pistols.

Another FL user with no problems. What I don't do with FL as well as any lube is apply it to the firing pin channel or firing pin. Any lube will give you problems in the firing pin channel.

Actually, as long as the firing pin channel doesn't get lubed up (not just FL, but any lubricant), it's gtg, I believe.

Dont use FL on parts that get hot. I wasn't thinking and cleaned my semi-auto shotgun's gas system with FL before a class, ended up having to disassemble and spend 30 min cleaning the caked up gunk with CLP. When FL gets cold, it gets the consistency of ice cream, when it gets hot, it becomes gasket-maker
