You seem to prefer pistols.

You have a conspicuous lack of a very strong centerfire single action cowboy revolver. I recommend spending the $450 on a ruger blackhawk of any flavor that floats your boat. 357 45 colt, convertible 9mm, 7.5", 5", 4.5", whatever you want or is available for $450.

A 5.5" 45 colt blackhawk can be loaded to what will feel like 454 casull levels, easily eat any 45 +p, nonlead is available and can kill any deer or 200+ lb piggie, be a fun range toy, can buy factory or reload, endless supplies of holsters, and you got nothing bigger than .358" in diameter minus a 12ga shotgun.

Looks like a good choice to me. And itches any desire for magnumitis.

If you have trouble finding 45+p that is sufficiently strong, we can go to Reeds on a lunch break and shoot some of my 300 grain bullets going well over 1000 fps. Daily diet for my vaquero. blackhawk can handle like a champ (and even hotter).

SSE1 expired, SSE2 is the new deal, essentially iirc the lower has to be originally built as a single shot pistol that's dimensionally compliant (6 inch or longer barrel, 10 inch or longer OAL which is pretty much a given for an ar or ak pistol).

Basically since single shot AR's/AK's are not really commercially available this means building it yourself on an 80% lower or getting a gunsmith to build you one from a virgin receiver. You can't do it on a fully built stripped lower since they can only be DROS'd as long guns.

Oh, I got a new great suggestion.

500 S&W handi-rifle. You can still enjoy shooting it at the indoor range with your pistols. $450 will buy you the rifle and a coupe boxes of ammo to get you started. Or skip the ammp and buy a bushnell shotgun scope and you are bare bones OTD no ammo with scope for just under 450, still a blast to shoot at the indoor range.

Also, you can take a hacksaw to it to turn it into an 16 incher with ease. Do you know ridiculously short a 16 inch gun is when there is no feed behind the chamber? This short:
