    Thordsen Customs

Just realized Thordsen Customs was local in my area end of last week, so I contacted them thru multiple emails about their FRS-15 stock as I was inquiring about their kit and going featureless. Max and Alan were very quick and responsive in addressing my questions. I asked if they had a store front but they don't. However, Max said I can schedule to stop by their manufacturing facilities to look at their stocks, so I scheduled and stopped by today. I was pleasantly greeted when I walked in and Max was a great help in educating me about their parts, removal of original AR parts, and educated me on the installation. I've never tinkered with AR parts besides disassembly for cleaning and upgrading trigger to Geissele SD-C, but I walked out of there must more knowledgeable of the buffer tube, stock, and barrel. Walked out of there with my new FRS-15 enhanced stock kit, AR wrench, enhanced buffer tube, and muzzle break. Just wanted to give props to Max and Thordsten Customs for being patient with me and excellent customer service. I will be supporting them and will be buying their parts. Can't wait for their new parts! A++++ for Thordsen Customs!

I've been by there twice already as I find myself working in SSF now. Both experiences very pleasant and satisfying. I haven't installed my kit yet but will soon.

I did not know about the wrench. Will it make the job easier? If so, I'll stop by tomorrow and pick one up. I value good tools.

The AR armorer's wrench fits perfectly to unscrew the castle nut and barrel vs. using a monkey wrench. Supposedly it's easier and won't scratch the castle nut. If you're building an AR, I believe all the grooves in the wrench is all you need. I'm no expert, but I will also be building a separate one from scratch.

1/2" ratchet fits in the square hole just inboard of the castle nut driver on mine. Where do you grab that with a monkey wrench?

Sorry not monkey wrench, but the regular wrench. Per this guy's comment in the video

Thordson Custom is a class company. They took a lot of criticism with their unique stock in the beginning. They've proven to me and many others it is a viable alternative in these restrictive times.

I just got mine in the mail yesterday. First impressions of are great. I felt like the price tag was a little much. Would be great if they added a rubber grip for added comfort. I will be buying more if these.

They look short but they have 16 inch legal uppers. It's the fake can that threads in front that makes them look short. Like my daughters AR I built.

Her upper is standard as well.....
