I hope you like Indiana. Bloomington area seems to be one of the better areas. I spent the first 22 years of my life in the upper half of the state, I suspect the winters are more mild and tolerable where you are headed. I used the hate the time from January 10th (last day of Rabbit season) until ice-out, when I could start fishing normally. I don't miss the skeeters or the humidity, the balance of the weather was fine except for the cabin-fever season.

I have fond memories of driving to the open space shooting area with a dozen or so handguns on the pickup dash and some long guns in the rack, and nobody looking at me twice.
