AR 15 Discreet Range Bag

Does anyone know of some good discreet range bags for under $100?

I want one to hold an M&P 15 Sport II, ammo, and some cleaning & maintenance supplies.

I'd prefer carrying the upper and lower detached from each other in a more discreet & compact bag, but I'm open minded.

I went ahead and bought this as the price and style seems to be great, but I'm still interested in seeing if there are other good bags for the future:

Remove upper from lower and any typical backpack would work.

I've seen some gun stores/ranges say that you can only bring your gun in if it's in a case/bag made for a gun.

I currently use my soft padded guitar case for my M&P 15 Sport II. It has 2 zippers, so I just loop my lock thru the holes of the zippers. Easy.

As long as it is square with no taper (obvious scoped bolt rifle case), to me it is sufficiently discrete. A bag such as this is available in carbine and rifle length, 1 or 2 rifle, with or without molle loops, $40 to $200 (mine was $40), and holds mags, ammo, and cleaning supplies apart from the guns.

The funniest thing I've seen thats really discrete was a guy put his AK in a suit bag. I just happen to be doing my paper work at a local shop and the guy was was dropping his rifle off to get worked on but said he didn't want his gf to know what he was doing. Made me laugh but thought it was a pretty good cover on his part.

Nope, That is about as discrete as hanging a sign on your back that says I carry rifles (or other firearms). It does not have to be tapered to scream gun bag. Nowadays, everyone knows what a tactical rifle case looks like and they are mostly the PIA people who will call LEOs on you. Discrete starts with the a shape that reminds people of known other things, like Tennis Rackets, Guitars, etc.

Why not just get a cardboard box that is large enough to hold the disassembled upper and lower, ammo, etc and carry it around in that? That's pretty discreet.

Gym bag. Half these "discreet" cases still look tacticool, and don't help being FDE/military colors with spots for patches.
