Please explain how being born in Germany, of Iranian parents, schooled in the German school system, raised with other German kids, and never have travelled out of Germany, let alone to Iran, his ethnic background has anything to do with this shooting?

He fits the pattern of 2 previous school-related mass shooting incidents in Germany, Erfurt School Massacre (April 2002) and the Winnenden School shooting (March 2009). He also fits the pattern of many school shooters in the US. He was a nut-job that blamed his classmates and teachers for his lack of success in life and decided to get revenge by killing as many as possible and end their own miserable life at the same time.

Among his books and other reading material in his room was a copy of a book titled "Why Kids Kill: Inside the Minds of School Shooters." http://www.independent.co.uk/news/wo...-a7153146.html

There is lots more evidence that he fit the pattern of a school shooter. Instead of using a school for his rampage, he enticed school aged kids and young adults to a place they love to hang out at, a local McDonalds. Then he took his revenge.

I have no sympathy for this jerk. I also believe radical islam is a threat because the Koran teaches if you cannot convert the infidel, then you must kill the infidel (this is not a direct quote but conveys the message). I also believe that taking in hordes of Middle East refugees with very little vetting is leaving any country open to terrorism from some of those same refugees. It is too easy for the terrorists to blend in with the other refugees.

I always question why the other Middle Eastern countries do not take in the refugees, set up camps for them, and all who want to contribute to their care can do so through the various relief agencies. Then when the war is over they can go back. Also, not allowing the refugees such easy escape from their country would force some at least to get involved and help settle the problem of their country. Sometimes one needs to pick a side and pick up a gun to defend that side. Life sucks but one has to deal with reality.

The US also needs to stay out of civil wars. If we get pissed when others try to tell us what to do, they have the same right to get pissed when we do the same. In a civil war, all one ends up doing is uniting both sides in their hatred of you.

You read the background that is emerging on this kid and he is nothing more than a middle school drop out who had serious mental health issues. He was bullied in school and used that as an excuse to build more hatred towards his peer group. (As a teacher myself, I have found that many of these types do invite the bullying because they often start it, but that is mostly ignored so the story gets more empathy for the perp as a victim).

He picked a major headline issue that helped explain the cause of his failure in life. In Germany, it is immigrants and how most refuse to adopt German culture, want the hard working Germans to pay their way by giving them State aide that they have never paid into, and they are taking away jobs from hard working German families. Add to this the significant amount of crime committed by the recent wave of immigrants, especially sex crimes against German women that the government does not seem to take seriously because it does not want to be viewed as xenophobic. You have a perfect cause to blame all of your problems on.

I doubt we will get much information about the parents. The German Government and media will go to great lengths to protect them from media attention especially if they have adapted to German culture and are considered German, just like their son was considered German by their laws and customs.

I am all for calling out terrorists acts and placing the blame on radical Islamists when it is indeed true. But, trying to blame a terrorist act on Islamic terrorists just because the perp was of Iranian heritage makes us just as bad as they are, blaming us for all of their problems.

Islamic terrorists are a major threat even if our President refuses to acknowledge it. But at this point, with the information that has been gathered so far, this is not a case of Islamic terrorism. This is just a simple case of a nut-job blaming everyone but himself for his failures and wanting to get his revenge for his crappy life. He found the far right propaganda to support his fantasies, so he followed fascists and neo-nazi groups and idolized Anders Breivik. He did not idolize Islam.

EU problem they require all member nations to take x number of refugees without any background checks. Brits voted to get out as they saw this happening in their country.

There are many Germans that want out of the EU. They are tired of bailing out other bankrupt EU countries with money that everybody knows will not get paid back. That money came from the German dream of work hard, live frugally, and save your money. They have a 6 hour work day and most German workers get more done in that 6-hours than the Brits or us on an 8 hr day. At work, they work, no cell phones, no hanging around shooting the breeze.

Then their already high taxes are raised to bail out countries that give unlimited free stuff to everyone without a plan to pay for it. They go bankrupt and then come up with all sorts of reasons why Germany has to bail them out free of charge and they refuse to change their free spending ways.

The German government feared Brexit because they might be pushed hard to be the next country to allow a vote on the exit of Germany. If Germany goes, the EU will very likely collapse because they have been funding much of it.

Germany isn't going to leave the EU because Germany is the EU. Germany is the number one country benefiting from the EU and calls the shots for the organization. Funny that they lost the war to dominate Europe and ended up dominating Europe anyway.

Before someone starts throwing anti-German accusations at me, I'm 4th gen German from the Frankfurt area where my great-grandfather came from. I know how the German mind and personality works!

Here is a good article: http://time.com/4420817/munich-attac...or-motivation/

I agree that no mention of his religion by anyone is troubling. Not all Iranians are Muslims. His parents fleeing Iran for Germany over 20 years ago could suggest they are Christian. Iran had a sizable Christian population. The odds are the family is Muslim.

The Germans are extremely thorough though and like to investigate everything before releasing any information. They will also hold back information they feel will make the situation worse.

Yelling Allah Akbar is not much to claim he is an ISIS terrorist. Muslims use that phrase all the time, just like Christians saying God is great.

He is also reported to have said I am German, something an ISIS terrorist would not have said.

If he was Muslim, he was likely a Shiite as most Iranians are, and Iran has been battling ISIS who are militant Sunni.

There are also reports that he yelled anti-immigrant statements and was definitely a follower of Anders Breivik.

The other 3 attacks have links to ISIS and/or the recent Middle East immigrant crisis.

As for the German war debt, read history. After WWII, it was forgiven by the US, Great Britain, and France because everyone learned from the history of WWI. Building a strong German economy and making Germany our ally would more than pay off that debt in the long run.

A war debt is something that only the winner forces on the looser anyway. If we are going down that road, the US owes a huge war debt to Cambodia, Laos, and Viet Nam for starters.
Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.

A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.
