    CCW guns

I currently have a g26 and was looking for an additions gun to carry. I was thinking of the S&w shield just because it is thinner.

    Do you have any recommendations?

If you could pick three what different ones would you carry?

I've been carrying a G19 for about a year and have no complaints. It conceals well, even in tshirt and shorts.

My issuing agency only allows three handguns to be listed on their CA LTC permits and only allows changes at renewal time.

What's currently listed on my permit are:
      .45ACP Glock 30
      9x19mm SIG P290RS

Next year when I renew, I may change it to:
      .45ACP Glock 30
      9x19mm Glock 19
      9x19mm Glock 43

IWB = Single stack (XDs or P938).

OWB = Double stack (Usually G19).

              I carry a Shield
G26 and G36 on my permit.
I've never carried the G26, I've carried the G36 once.

                  I have a shield in 40s&w and a glock 26.
I like the shield more IWB.
                  It used to NOT MATTER.
But as I age with having had a busted back I don't tolerate the guns the way I used to.
And to be 100% honest , I like the entire smith m&p line up over the glocks anyhow.

I suggest that you consider the TAURUS PT111 G2.

I have 1 and my GF has another. In less than 1 yr we have both put close to 1,ooo rnds down their pipes. Not 1 single FTF/FTE. NOT 1.
I just completed my NV CCW class and used my G2 to qualify. Without even try, only 2 rnds were outside the 9 ring.
She eats Federal AL FMJ and the Perfecta FMJ brass rnds, the cheapest ammo that I can find.

3.2", dbl stack 9mm holds 12 in the mag. Nice 3 dot sights, rear adjustable with a manual safety.

THE ONLY downside is the trigger has alot of travel. But, it always goes bang.

The best part? Retail is $300 and its often on sale in the $200 range.

If something goes sideways and you need to draw or use it, its much less
$$$ that you giving to some LEO and never getting back.

I like the small, medium and large strategy.

My main carry is a HK P2000sk, which holds 10+1 rounds and is similar in size to the G26.

My small gun is a Kahr PM9. I did have a Shield, but replaced it with the Kahr. The Shield was not quite small enough for ultra concealment, and I only lose 1 round with the Kahr.

The big boy is my Glock 29sf. Hard to beat 11 rounds of 10mm.

If you have to use it in a defensive shooting and the situation warrants LE taking it for evidence, the difference between a $149 HiPoint and $4,000 Les Baer is going to be the least of your problems.

Yes on the Shield. Also consider a 380 or j-frame you can carry in your pocket.

I also have a G23 on my permit (same size as a G19.) However I only carry it when I'm doing security for my church and want the 13 round capacity.
