    Angeles -- Too Crowded Lately

I've only been going to Angeles for about 6 months now, but anyone else notice that the place is like Disneyland now? Lots of lines, lots of people, no room.

I love the place, but I just don't get where all these other people came from. I was used to getting in there on the weekend and only feeling the crowd from about 11:30-2 -- otherwise, it was pretty tolerable.

Anyone know what prompted this sudden burst in attendance there lately?

Friggin annoying, they're cramping my style, and emptying the Walmarts of cheap ammo

I usually show up around noon on the weekends, a lot of people but no waiting for a spot. Everyone has been nice, even when they get hit in the face from 7 benches down by the random casing that does not get stopped by the brass screens

I really try to get there early in the mornings to beat the crowds. Speaking of those brass screens, i'm a left handed shooter, and using those screens on the bench doesn't leave any space to shoot comfortably. Any lefties have a suggestion?

Don't worry, they will make their 3rd trip to the range, get bored, then store that new gun in the closet for the next 20 years.

I just went to shoot there a few weeks ago and I was very angry at the ****ing RSO's. They were more ****ing worried about sweeping up brass than trying to pay attention at the shooters. I observed numerous safety violations while these punks (RSO's) were too busy sweeping up the brass and putting it on the yellow buckets, even my ****ing brass, I later learned that once it goes into the yellow buckets, it belongs to the range. Mother****ers.... Sorry about the rant, I needed to get this off of my chest.. LOL.

I know, I know. Not sure if the guys sweeping up the brass were there just to do that or they were the actual RSO's. But like the OP said, it was freaking packed that day.

Lol, true enough -- but at least I'm sticking with it, and not doing the "3 range trips and I'm bored" thing. I do try to stay out of the way though, and watch my brass.

We should be glad to see new shooters joining our ranks, but I would like to see night shooting at Angeles Range on more days, rather than just Wed nights. The same thing happened to the Burro Canyon Shooting Range when The San Gabriel Valley Gun Club closed down.
