Get her a Dog from the pound and have it protection trained.

Other than having the windows/doors locked & secured, a protection-trained dog can be a secondary line of defense while she goes for a gun. It'll provide her companionship, comfort, protection, and you'll be saving a dog from eminent death.

    Just a thought.

Yup, by Emerson, easy access to 113 to get away. Gotcha. Mostly B&E I would presume, not as much in the way of murders although I'm sure Davis has had a few by now.

That is why I am happy my wife knows how to use a firearm to defend herself if need be. Your G/F is VERY lucky.

and for some reason all of my school mates here in Davis think that we live in a crime free utopia...

when will they start putting the real police reports in the school paper and taking out the "funny" police reports?

i don't see a problem with him giving her the gun. If you give her the gun and the relation ship doesn't work out down the line, sure you'll be out of a gun. Now say you didn't give it to her and something happens....you don't have the chance to know if she was the one but still have a gun. It's simple enough. If he cares about her enough to risk a few hundred bucks why would it be a problem? I've spent more on single presents for my ex girlfriends then what my glock cost. Money can be saved up again. lives dont get that second chance.
