Permanently attaching muzzle device question

So I might be wrong about this too but in 5 months won't it be required that it's permanently attached? If you register or go featureless you're going to lose the mag lock so then it wouldn't be ok?

If you register, you won't need to permanently attach since it will BE a Registered Assault Weapon.
