    Question regarding new laws....

these laws would go into effect untill the beginning of 2017 right?

If so, buying ammo online is still ok for us?

also, since my ak and ar are featureless, im GTG starting jan 17'?

Yeah stocking up before the panic gets established. I just added another 10 boxes of Fed Automatch that'll give me 30,000+ of 22lr/22mag and 500 rds of 9mm. So will start stocking up on more 9mm and 45 acp, 7.62x 39, 5.56 9mm Makarov, 12 and 20 ga. Already have plenty of "green cans" of 7.62 Nato and 30-06.

Question that still stumps me is: how can they stop someone from buying out of state in person? how will they enforce that?

What is the story with all of that. In the link it talks about ammo on Newsome's safety for all yet to be voted on in Nov.

So, did Brown sign something into law concerning ammo right now, or not?

Reading that GD thing gave me a headache.

On the sweeter side, I just listed my house yesterday and am going to move to the Tucson area. Was planning to do this anyway, but this criminal BS just makes it all the sweeter.

Sick and tired of living in a resort area.

Safety for all is a separate but similar legislation that goes to vote in November, if it passes then it's even tighter restrictions on ammo.

They can't stop anyone from purchasing in another state. The issue will be for those that get caught bringing these purchases back into CA

And what will the punishment be? Infraction, misdemeanor, felon?

If the Safety For All Act passes it will also move the enactment date from 01-01-2019 to 01-01-2018.

                      AFAIK...
Nothing in the new ammunition laws prohibits a CA resident from physically going out-of-state, acquire ammunition, and bring it back to CA.

If true, this is surprising to me.

If Prop 63 does not pass, Penal Code section 30368, as added by SB1235, as of 1/1/17, would say:
                          (a) Commencing July 1, 2019, a resident of this state shall not bring or transport into this state any ammunition that he or she purchased from outside of this state

The prohibition exists in the law, whether you acknowledge it is something else.
sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.

this, while id F'n blows, is the lesser of two evils, 63 can not pass, we must rally and defeat it.
