I am close to the parents my kid (3.5) plays with. They either know, have gone with me or don't ask.

I would answer "NO" if my son brings home some strange.
    1. I don't advertise
    2. Its none of their business
    3. I am not worried as they are in a safe and CANT be accessed.

As I said when you asked me Mr. or Mrs. Parent ... I have NO guns in the house because they are ALL locked up in the safe.

I'm not a liar; maybe the truth is bent a little but in this case firearms are MY business. Parent asks if firearms are in the house. In the safe is NOT in the house. I would have absolutely NO problem whatsoever smoothing that situation out with any parent. And if they don't get it, then they don't get it ... that's their problem not mine.

I'm not one for advertising my collection, the whereabouts, and my home defense lock up and alarm ... as I said, that's all my business. I take care of my end, and parents need to teach their children firearm safety ... that's their business. And if they cannot teach their kids firearm safety like every other parent teaches they kids how to float/swim, how to NOT climb on dresser, don't run with a sharp object ... and when they get older how to operate a vehicle etc. then ... that's their problem not mine.

And, you can guarantee that all other children who are visiting will behave exactly the same way as your child?

This is where many parents have learned the hard way.

Nah, you are just a liar. Once on if you have guns in the house, second you are lying to yourself that you are an honest person. Quit trying to make your ownership of guns a vice.

We've been through this dance before, I'm not going to do it on this thread. I think we should stick to the fact that it's a reasonable question to ask and one that should be answered honestly.

My neighbors that have kids know I have guns and most all of them have told there kids that if they a scared for what ever reason and they are not home they are to come to my home and I will protect them.
I have great neighbors and I watch out for all the kids in my neighborhood like they are my own.

If the parent of my kids friend asked me, I would answer truthfully. I would also assure them that my guns are always kept safe. If they persisted I would then say, either locked in the safe or on my person. If that meant that their little prince or princess could not come over then so be it.
