Anyone ever get a bit paranoid when leaving the gun shop to your car, carrying your giant rifle box or pistol case?

Paranoid walking from gun shop

Most of the time I purchased at a range with a private parking lot.
Other times yeah, paranoidOriginally posted by Jimi JahI punch paper only because it is illegal to punch people.Originally posted by elpaisa1I think flatulence is a more serious crime. I think it should be a misdemeanor with a 1000 dollar fine or 6 months of jail. It should be a felony if done near an open flame.

Lol glad I'm not the only one. Most times I'm thinking man I can get ambushed here. Sucks were not able to conceal carry without a permit.
I wonder if anyone has ever gotten robbed.Comment

I've definitely gotten some looks leaving a gun store with some of the more obvious packaging, or even just a big Glock labeled bag one place gave me. Sometimes you can almost see what they're thinking "weird case, weird case has a lock on it, oh crap that's a gun store, oh, it's a police supply store, whew."
In terms of being robbed, less so than hitting the ATM.Comment

Paranoid? No. A bit more vigilant in paying attention to my surroundings? Yes. No different then going to the range with firearms in my vehicle. Make sure every thing is out of sight or covered and if a quick stop is involved vehicle is secure.^^^The above is just an opinion.

"...which from their verbosity, their endless tautologies, their involutions of case within case, and parenthesis within parenthesis, and their multiplied efforts at certainty by saids and aforesaids, by ors and by ands, to make them more plain, do really render them more perplexed and incomprehensible, not only to common readers, but to lawyers themselves. Once I had to pick up a replica MP40 from the Gardena PD that they had recovered after a burgary at my house. They just handed it to me, I asked for some kind of covering but they told me I wouldn't have a problem walking back to my car about2 blocks away. I passed about a half a dozen people but nobody gave me a second look. That was a really weird feeling. This was back in early 90's.Comment

Heck No!
But I do feel paranoid when...
Now that big brother knows I own another gun, and that I'm on another List. Having concerns what neighbors see when packing up range supplies & equipment. What ifs in transit.
My biggest concern is knowing that I might need the thing while it's still in the box.Last edited by hambam105; 06-24-2016, 10:59 PM.Comment

Same as SWalt.
I definitely check my surroundings more and look for anyone just sitting around.
Also look for any car following me just in case.
Paranoid, no, just cautious.Originally posted by Kestryll:

I'm always on super alert. A good guy with a gun, locked in a damn case. Isn't a good match for a bad guy not FOLLOWING THE STUPID AZZ LAWS.Originally posted by WebologistI am in a sympathy-free zone as well. Nope. I always leave the gun shop with the gun loaded and in plain sight. That way everyone knows that I'm armed and won't **** with me while I get to my car....
