    But that takes more work.
He developed the .416, so go buy one of those!

Please point out to me where I'm wrong, but I don't see .416 listed as an available chambering.

This one is available in .416

But getting a M82A1CAL in .416 might not ever be a possibility. You'll have to convince him to make one.

And as much as I hate it, I would rather not have a Barrett than have him Cali-**** his design because some nimwitts up north have their heads where the sun don't shine.

Would you rather know that art is hanging over in France, or would you rather have them take a sharpie and black out any nudity just so you could see it here in the states?
I'm not sure, but shouldn't Col. John T. Thompson be on that list too?

Col. John T. Thompson COMMISSIONED a subgun and had it designed to meet certain criteria. He had no part in the creative design of the weapon. If I remember right, it was three men at Auto Ordanance that designed the original prototype.

The four listed designed their guns from the ground up by themselves, and in most cases built the prototype themselves.

Okay, and then I'll just say again: "But getting a M82A1CAL in .416 might not ever be a possibility. You'll have to convince him to make one." I guess I'll have to explain it...

Barret has done quite a few things to work around california law. One of his rifles, the M82A1CAL, which was specifically built to work around california's laws is now no longer legal to sell here.. So why would a firearms manufacture yet again design, prototype, and manufacture yet another new rifle to meet a niche market in california? It's just going to get banned again and it may be another money-losing project. Businesses are in the market to make money, not lose money. In order to take on the RISK of making a new cali-legal semi-auto Barret, You'll have to convince him to make one.
