I wonder what the PM's reaction would have been if it was to store your medical marijuana in?

Oh and also being a firearm owner is not a protected class so you can't claim discrimination

Plus the landlord is only preventing you from storing firearms on premises not banning you from owning.

So tell me how would you sue and on what grounds?

Tell a landlord whatever you want. It's not like they can actually search your house to verify or make you open a safe.

They can give you 24hours notice to conduct "routine" maintenance.
Gun safe would be easy to spot.
Tell the Apt., its not a gun safe but a "Fire Proof" safe to protect your personal paperwork and belongings.

Next time -- move sensitive items at night, cover any markings(got OPSEC?), and tell the nosy neighbor to STFU.
What if the neighbor told the scumbag next door, and he stole your safe?

I wrapped my safe in towels and duct tape when I moved.

This is California, where it is official government policy that ALL gun owners are potential criminals or mentally ill, not to be trusted. And the majority of voters support this.

            Hide you guns.

Don't think I'd even bother going after the landlord. I'd walk away and just move on.

I try to keep low profile on everything. I don't have anything to hide but why invite trouble. Too many loony's out there.

Political activities and affiliations is now a protected class in California.
Exercising your second amendment right is very much a political activity.

The Bane Civil Rights Act protects people from continued violence or the threat of violence based on grounds such as race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, political affiliation,...

good luck convincing a judge that owning firearms is a political affiliation.

since we have seen that people from all parties own and shoot guns.

With what has happened and the fact you are moving on your own accord this is what I would do.
If I had time when I saw the jerk neighbor who complained I would start carrying gun cases in and out of my place for them to see.....even without guns in them. Do not say anything except hi to them but make it look like you are bringing in(or out) a ton of guns. I would do this as many times as I had time for. Just to mess with them. No real guns out in the open without being in a case. An airsoft or pellet gun maybe. I would rattle that persons cage every time I could. Things like when you see them get out your phone and pretend to be talking to a friend about going shooting/working on an AR or other firearm/going hunting and suggest bringing the animal to your place to butcher and such.

Then again I have no use for people like that who are just a waste of air and have no problem letting them know
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

2A violation? Can a college prohibit you on their property? Can an employer prohibit you on their property? Can a theme park, bar, store, etc. prohibit you on their property? If a tenant shoots another tenant do you think the lawyer seeking damages is going to indemnify the landlord or go after the deepest pocket?

Just tell the manager you want the best possible protection for your social security card.
lol. Best offhand answer yet. Others have come close.

More than likely what I would say. Living in Los Angeles, one can never be too polite or too careful.

I recently travelled the Amtrak Coast Starlight from Van Nuys to Portland and took a shotgun and a handgun with me in a double-locked 40" Pelican wheeled case (btw, 11 lbs maxium for ammo, and in a separate, locked, commercially-made case). My name and phone number were on the cases. While waiting for the ticket agent to check my bags, someone walking by asked me if it was a base guitar... I replied, "No, just golf clubs."

                          .

Just tell your landlord you removed the safe and the guns. Problem solved.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.
