    Buying advice thread: AR edition

I built my second AR (sold my first at the height of the last scare). It currently has a 22lr TacSol upper. The next upper will likely be a 450 bushmaster, because bacon doesn't hunt itself.

I have about $400 burning a hole in my pocket and I'm more than a little concerned about pending legislation.

    Should I buy:
    1) Another AR lower for centerfire. I'm concerned that the new legislation will prevent me from switching my uppers from centerfire to rimfire and disabling/enabling my bullet button (yes, I would register) as needed.

    2) An AR 10 lower. Because I can't grandfather what I don't have.

    3) Ammo. Buy all the ammo, because the bullet button thing won't be a problem and a 450 round will kill a pig just as dead as a 308 round.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

BTW, any additional lowers will probably be Mega...I love the rollmark and the ambi bolt release is the bomb.

    Thanks!
