No. I was pretty caught off guard because at worst I will get weird looks sometimes, but no one has ever directly confronted me like that. I also have a CCW, I was carrying at the time, so I just felt weird getting in a shouting match with anyone particularly over a firearms related topic. I did email costco after I got home about the incident; they have yet to reply.

Something along the lines of "Didn't you hear what happened in Orlando!? You shouldn't be buying those right now. You should get those shoes over there instead." She kept being that level of weird/awkward for about 3 minutes til I finally just walked away.

      Sorry to hear that Soginator.

Amazing that a retail employee should act this way to a customer. Wrong on so many levels. She does not get it.

Under the circumstances it seems like you took the high road. Good for you.

Picked up another set two nights ago, but had to return them because the 30 cal can did not close. Make sure to try the 30cal lid before purchasing.

Man oh man now I need to head over to Costco and hope they have them.

Also I found the same can, made in China, at Wal-Mart for sale at about $14 or so. Seems like everyone picked up on it since whenever I go in to look at ammo somebody is buying anywhere from 1 to 15 cans.

Now Costco has a way to track gun owners in its database.

Instead of that chinese made crap, how about these? $13.58/ea shipped.

If you don't need 12, click on "sellers other items" where they offer lesser quantities. I recommend you stick with the Grade 1 cans. They are very nice!

I remember for not a lot more money you actually got ammo in those cans. They used to almost give away the cans full of linked 50 BMG because nobody wanted to delink the ammo.
