I just finished a ppt for 2 handguns and 1 rifle at Fowler's Gun Room in Orange.
All 3 guns were from the same person (cousin's husband).
Fowler's charged me $35 for each one. $105 total. They told me CA law says you can no longer combine DROSes for ppt's.
I didn't want to waste my cousin's time by arguing (since they drove over an hour to me and still had to drive home). But I have a feeling it should have been $25 to the state and $10 per gun on the same DROS.
What's the correct way to have done it?
UPDATE 1
I just called Riflegear, Ade's and Turner's (Orange and Huntington). They all said that as of Jan 1 of this year, all guns must be on a separate DROS @ $35 each. I'll keep calling around, but it's looking like that's normal?

UPDATE 2
Called Riflegear again, spoke to a different guy. He says it's one $25 fee. Looks like even they can't get it straight. Ammo Bros is next!

UPDATE 3
Ammo Bros also says it's one $25 DROS fee and $10 per gun.
So, I'm not crazy...

UPDATE 4
Went back to Fowler's and spoke with Larry, the manager on duty. He said the rifle had to be on its own DROS ($35), while the handguns had to be on a separate DROS ($45). I showed him the DOJ site that showed firearms weren't treated differently. He offered to refund me $25, so I took it and left.
