    Mounting Rifles on a Wall

I am helping my cousin design his man cave and he wanted to mount around 15 rifles on a wall. What method would you recommend? He is not looking for anything fancy, but rather something that is easy to install and not as costly.

Sounds like simple pegboard might be the way to go. Not fancy, easy to install, not costly.

Cover it with felt before you put the hangers in and it even looks halfway decent.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Do a mix of vertical racks and display board like you see in a lot of gun stores.

This assumes that he's built the walls with reinforced concrete or steel plate, backed up the windows with steel mesh and replaced the door frame and door with a vault door.

        Or use chicken wire...

Spray paint it to your color preference and screw it down good!

Use zip ties or peg hooks

I hope that nobody can see them through the windows. I also hope he has an alarm and a huge dog.

Great ideas! I will look into peg boards. Thanks guys!

The room is in the basement with only one possible access. The house has ADT security and my cousin works from home. He will definitely reinforce the basement door before setting up his man cave.

Also beware, basement = rust. Get a giant dehumidifier.

Cheap and easy. I did 2 of these. Going to do another for some .22s. Takes up a lot of space to give the rifles room to breath.

The cheapest stuff Home Dpeot had. Vinyl coated paperboard.
Just screwed a couple 1"x2" to studs. Then screwed this into them.

Will the paperboard be able to support the weight of the rifle?

I use it for my RPK's. Doesn't get much heavier.
Make sure hooks are decent. And placed properly.
I'm using plastic ones with double mounting pegs.
