LEUPOLD MARK 4 SCOPES ONLY FOR LE! No more sales to civilians starting 2017

I own a lot of Leupold scopes and have from way back. Never had troubles with them. Years ago when I worked at a good gun shop they rarely got one back and usually it was a problem with the rifle, or rings/bases and god forbid the shooter......not the Leupold scope. Seen a ton of Bushnell and other come back fogged and other problems. Have had and seen many troubles with other brands.
One reason I will only put Leupold on my hunting rifles.

I suggest that it is only your opinion just as it is my opinion from many years of experience what I post in response

I spoke to Leupold and the guy there said they will Continue making the Mark 4 line however they will not be offering it to civilians anymore only LE. In fact he said that they will be offering a new product line that all the civilians will be very happy with.

I've got a MK4 LRT 8.5 x 25 and it's been back to the factory 4 times in 10 years. My main complaint was the eye relief between high and low power. Every tech I talk to acts like it's the first time they ever heard of it.
So far the tube has been replaced, erector replace twice, objective and ocular replaced once and the parallax adj replaced. It's still a POS.
Hopefully when they get scarce I could sell it for decent money..... hoping.

Just make sure you get a Leupold cause I hear they banned them

Said the gun shop owner with a big back room full of them he knows will be lame ducks soon.......

While they are / were great scopes.....much much better options now exist.
