Odd policy. And I never thought I'd see the day where Turners would do a PPT that Alamo refused.

We have some out of state company/FFL refused to ship to kali. Now we have locals who refuse to do ppt. Between them and kali-anti-2A laws, the window is getting smaller and smaller doesn't it?

Maybe you missed the operative part of the word "AK PISTOL"??

CSA is saying that if the FFL does NOT sell pistols/handguns, then they are not required to do the transfer.

You are implying that they CAN sell pistols/handguns and refuse to PPT a certain type of pistol/handgun.

WRONG. This applies only to Long-guns versus handguns. You are perpetuating some MAJOR BS here. Stop it.

It does not dictate by AR or AK pistols versus other pistols/handguns. The AK/AR platform does not magically dictate it as being something other than a handgun. Shops that only sell long-guns do not have to PPT handguns. But shops that PPT handguns can not deny doing PPTs on legal handguns if they sell other handguns, which includes AK or AR pistols WHICH ARE HANDGUNS.

              Required. BY LAW.

Could they say there was some other reason they did not want to handle the sale? Sure, just as they can say "no shirt, no shoes, no service".

I suppose they could say "We don't do PPTs for gays" too!

              Let see how that goes.

Maybe you missed what the law actually says? And maybe you made up your own operative FUD and spread it around liberally like barbecue sauce on a 30 year old sow at a luau?

I've been amazed this year by turners. Haven't had a single issue with them, and I've sold at least three guns in 3 different locations now. They may spread FUD but they know how to DROS and handle PPTs.

The assistant manager I met in the Victorville store on Tuesday was totally professional, knew a LOT about AKs (I may not be a smith but I know enough about the platform to spot a BSer), knew about the difference between shouldering a pistol and using your cheek, was super friendly and had us taken care of in under ten minutes. It don't get much easier than that. After the deal we sat around talking for a few minutes and I have to say, it's a shame I don't live anywhere near Victorville as he's a guy I'd love to take shooting. Classic old timer but without the bark or get off my lawn type attitude.
