In Idaho I would think you could list them in the newspaper.

from my experiences Feedback for Killer Bee A+(32), gunbroker has been great and they have awesome tools..

spend some time familiarizing yourself with the site and other listings for same/similar guns and draft your ads..

best way to estimate current market value is closed auction tab in advanced search [must be logged in]

you'll have to manually sort through listings with bids [no sort for sold] but you'll see what bids were placed and what sold and didn't..

one last comment to add about shipping handguns.. most ups locations won't take them without a hassle if at all and fedex is very expensive..

eta; based on what I've read from multiple accounts from others regarding ups not accepting handguns or giving the shipper the business..
I have had no hassles shipping handguns through fedex a few times myself nor have I read others being hassled either..

the trick is to find an ffl to ship your handguns because they can ship usps while non-ffl's can't.

that's how they ship so much cheaper.. tip your ffl and still come out ahead..

show us your links, good luck!

I don't know where you got the info that UPS won't take handguns that is entirely incorrect. I guess the handguns I have shipped via UPS were but figments of my imagination. Maybe your local customer center won't but that means they are not following company policies and rules.

            .

How does that work? In theory an NR bidder can't be blocked until after they bid. If they are the high bidder your contractually locked right?
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

The more specialized the gun, the better gunbroker is for the seller to find a buyer. It's a huge market.

You couid take your chances with armslist but it's loaded with scammers on both the buyer and seller side.

Calguns is good too but mostly for vanilla type transactions and items. If the gun has any intrinsic value forget it, not enough collectors on the board.

zidaho has a ton of guns for sale. You could also join boiseshooters.com and stick an ad there, though zidaho has the traffic.

Troy at the gun store by Albertson's may be interested in the K31.

The local PO doesn't bat an eyelash when you ask them to ship a gun.

Are you 100% sure about a C&R licensee being able to legally mail C&R handguns via USPS? I always thought that was illegal and reading the regs I don't really 100% see where it is OK. As for blocking NR bidders I don't think there is a way on GB to do so. You can say no NR bidders but I don't see a mechanism to stop them from bidding.

The UPS retail outlets are generally franchises and they are not subject to UPS COMPANY policies. Most will not take a firearm for shipment. What you need to do is locate a UPS corporate depot location near you. Think: where the brown trucks sleep at night. The depots will take your handguns. I sent long guns via USPS (cheaper) and handguns via UPS or Fed-X depots.

Looks like the C&R handgun needs to be an antique as defined.

                        From the USPS Regs:

Firearms meeting the definition of a handgun under 431.2 and the definition of curios or relics under 27 CFR 478.11 may be mailed between curio and relic collectors only when those firearms also meet the definition of an antique firearm under 431.3.

                        431.3 Antique Firearm

Antique firearm means any muzzle loading rifle/shotgun/pistol, which is designed to use black powder or a black powder substitute, and which cannot use fixed ammunition (except those that incorporate a firearm frame or receiver, any firearm which is converted into a muzzle loading weapon, or any muzzle loading weapon which can be readily converted to fire fixed ammunition by replacing the barrel, bolt, breechblock, or any combination thereof); or any firearm (including those with a matchlock, flintlock, percussion cap, or similar type of ignition system) manufactured on or before 1898, or any replica thereof, if such replica:

similar to you in North Carolina and op in Idaho, I hail from the Midwest where firearms may be more positively received than socal.. I've read on this forum alone, many accounts of ups refusals to accept handguns in CA at proper locations.. not usually easy as a customer to convince employees of a company that they don't know their own policies..

the manufacturer call tags I have received from sig and springfield were fedex where I had no hassles from two different locations I've used a few times.. never bothered with ups because of the trouble some others have had with them..

UPS Stores do not take ammo or firearms customer centers/hubs do. If they won't a call to corporate will solve that. Maybe some UPS stores do but that may be in violation of UPS policies. In my experiences not just what I've heard FedEx is harder to deal with or will even refuse ammo shipments. Many years ago I used FedEx for handguns without a problem but more recent experiences in last few years or so were problematic.

The problem with using a FFL for shipping out is finding one that doesn't want to charge exorbitant rates which cancel out any savings by them being able to use USPS. I'm glad that was cleared up about Curio and Relic licensees mailing non antique handguns that did not sound legal to me.

I just do not understand how they can justify the higher price. Overnight is BULL for shipping. Has anybody that works for UPS or FEDx ever been hurt by shipping ammo or shipping any guns.

It wasn't about people being hurt. It was a money grab and greed with the excuse being that they were experiencing a lot of theft of handgun parcels. The FedEx and UPS rules about overnight only on handguns have been in place for like 15 years or more now. If you take a handgun to UPS they lock it in a different area after they accept it. Also if insuring for more than like $1000 there is extra form you have to sign.
