Enough already with the "I won't comply" posts

Let's hope that's the case. Different topic, but every once in a while you hear about arrests re. legal marijuana grow operations or dispensaries. Or the IRS targeting certain (insert "conservative") groups for audits. I wouldn't be so concerned if laws were enforced equally and across the board.
My primary point that seems to have been lost with all the basement bombers is if you're not going to comply, great, don't comply. Just don't blast it all over a gun site. And most people that scream "I won't comply" are usually full of themselves and IT.
Have a nice day

Yeah, God forbid other California gun owners get inspired to follow suit and stand up for our rights en masse. It's better to just keep blasting all the doom and gloom "let's surrender and run away" posts all over a California gun site dedicated to preserving our gun rights in this state, right?
Do you have any actual statistics to back this up? Or did you just get it off of Gavin Newsom's Facebook page?Anchors Aweigh

It is exactly the case, and pot is banned on a FEDERAL level you git, GUNS are PROTECTED by the Constitution and there is no higher Law of the Land, and if you had a clue as to what your talking about you would already know this. The "Feds" do not enforce or care about or even take the time to understand local laws. The ATF and FBI have zero authority to enforce any of CA gun laws.Let's hope that's the case. Different topic, but every once in a while you hear about arrests re. legal marijuana grow operations or dispensaries. Or the IRS targeting certain (insert "conservative") groups for audits. Your not concerned, your defeatist. One of those jackwagons that thinks you lost open carry because some group marched on the Capitol. All these liberal groups are out protesting and not complying and here you are, like a good little liberal shill, talking about how gun owners should not even talk about non-compliance. I highly suggest you re-read the First through 7th Amendments, as they not only empower us little folk to not comply but encourage it.
You really sound like a liberal shill. Which lobbyist group did you belong to again? Because this is exactly what has NOT WORKED for CA all these years. Some of us, especially those of us from/in Free states look to CA and shake our heads in wonder at how bad it has gotten, with barely even token protest from the gun groups here.
It is exactly time to not comply, like the good folks not turning in thier mags down in LA. It is exactly time for gun owners, each and every one, to stand up and be counted and not comply. To force the media to have nothing else to cover, giving them no choice but to show gun owners as a strong group who are not criminals, to the point that no one cares about a guy walking around a gun because its normal, and a RIGHT.
Or CA gun owners can listen to shills like you and continue to bend, bend, bend, until capguns are illegal and criminals are even less afraid of the populace than they were.Last edited by dwalker; 05-30-2016, 7:28 AM.Fear is the spare change that will keep you broke

Mr Walker, methinks he doth protest too much. Do you know the rest? In case you don't, here you go - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_la...much,_methinks
The prescription is NOT yelling and screaming as you are doing. And calling the people that believe just as strongly in the Constitution "shills." The prescription, as I stated in the original post, is to get out there and change at a grassroots level. How much time have you spent having reasonable conversations with people trying to convince those that are just as passionate on the other side, that they are wrong? In a civil conversation.
IMHO, the problem is education. The Constitution and the fight for freedom is not taught in schools anymore. Our children have forgotten the reason WHY we have the Bill of Rights (remember, they weren't included in the original Constitution and were added in 1791).
Our job, as active and informed parents, is to teach our children the history of this land, to vote these traitors out of office, and engage in grassroots efforts to ensure our legislators represent the people.
Now get out of your basement and do something useful rather than just play typewriter jockey.Comment

I didnt start a thread recommending the same failed practices be continued.
Its not about me, BUT since you asked...
I marched on the Capitol in Denver wearing a G19 on my hip and carrying 30rounders in my hands right next to Magpul and the rest.
I, who am not even a resident of the State, have gone to the meetings regarding Chabot range, donated money to keeping it open, and shoot there when I am in town.
I give money to the RMGO, an oganization that actually stands up for the 2nd Amendment.
I agree with education, but I cannot agree with anyone advocating the idea of standing idly by and allowing the erosion of the 2nd. In Colorado my son and I can play in the backyard to our hearts content with his BB gun knocking over tin cans. I carry open, in plain sight, daily. Yet in California if my neighbor even sees my kid with a toy gun the police are likely to be called.
Your way has failed, time to go with what works. Remember, the American Revolution was about gun control and taxes, not just taxes, and the 2nd does not give me the right to shoot Bambi for food, or paper on a range, it gives me the right and responsibility to shoot politicians as necessary for the protection of the Constitution of the United States. Not sure we are at tht point yet, but if we keep "complying" when it comes to that point there will be nothing left to fight with but "Hopes and Dreams".Fear is the spare change that will keep you broke

100% agree. I've been bringing up the anti smoking strategy for a while, and it fits with the long con the anti gunners are working on. Eventually owning a gun will be possible, just such a PITA that less and less people will bother until people are convinced it is illegal. See supressors and other NFA items even in free states. My guess is that the powers-that-be are fine if folks choose to not comply. Their goal is to stop commerce in certain types of arms and to wean the public from them. Marginalize them. The goal is that these firearms disappear from public use. The view is the aggregate, not the individual. Think of how smoking/smokers have been treated in this state...
You register? And the gov't view?
"Fine. Here's your piece of paper."
You don't register? And the gov't view?
"Fine. We really aren't that concerned about existing owners. We're playing the long game. Besides, most people will protest by being quiet and leaving their unregistered AWs in a closet. They won't take them out for fear of getting nicked. Guns sitting in a closet aren't much of a problem. Out of sight, out of mind. Now, occasionally the police will run across an unregistered AW. The owner will get arrested, we'll get a warrant for the rest of his guns and parade them on TV to show how tough we are on crime. The owner won't get jail time if he's otherwise clean, but he'll maybe get a temp or permanent firearms ban..."

I hear you about the American Revolution - gun control and taxes. In fact, gun confiscation and a ban on the import of firearms was probably more of a factor than "taxation without representation," which is what most people think it was about.
Kudos for putting your proverbial money where your mouth is and marching for 2A rights. Too many people moan and complain and then do nothing about it. I still believe a grassroots effort might work. I hope it doesn't have to come to violence because it is my opinion that too many keyboard warriors don't understand what a revolution means.
Keep up the fight! Hope we can have reasonable exchanges in the future.Comment

Dwalker is one of the people telling it like it is, if you want to be an apologist, keep it to yourself. I'm tired of hearing from the crowd that keeps on telling people to register their firearms!!
Wake up!!! Civil disobedience is the only way to go period! What are they going to do if 100% of CA gun owners refuse to register? Hmm? Please fill us with your vast knowledge on that subject. Here's what they'll do, they'll crap themselves that not one single person cared and preferred not to be a subject but a free man.
So all you keyboard pussies might want to think about what you're doing, this time registration will lead to confiscation. Think not? Wait until you vote in Gavin, you know who you are and know you'll vote for him!
Why is beyond me, you keep voting for dems knowing what their true agenda is. Start voting like a gun owner or sell your guns. You don't deserve them if you keep supporting the ones that are taking away your rights!50 BMG Shooters http://50-bmg.com/forum/index.phpComment
