    If a California resident "stores" a firearm with a person in Arizona, they potentially made an interstate transfer without the use of an FFL. See 18 USC 922(a)(5).
    a) It shall be unlawful—
    (5) for any person (other than a licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, licensed dealer, or licensed collector) to transfer, sell, trade, give, transport, or deliver any firearm to any person (other than a licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, licensed dealer, or licensed collector) who the transferor knows or has reasonable cause to believe does not reside in (or if the person is a corporation or other business entity, does not maintain a place of business in) the State in which the transferor resides; except that this paragraph shall not apply to (A) the transfer, transportation, or delivery of a firearm made to carry out a bequest of a firearm to, or an acquisition by intestate succession of a firearm by, a person who is permitted to acquire or possess a firearm under the laws of the State of his residence, and (B) the loan or rental of a firearm to any person for temporary use for lawful sporting purposes;
    See a lawyer about whether or not it is legal if the business belongs to a corporation that maintains a business in California. Of course the same problem applies if any customer is a resident of any other state.

      Might be a good plan for those who are closer to retirement and need a place to "park" their stuff.

      It would have to be a whole more secure than those public storage places.

        Safety deposit boxes are NOT FDIC insured. Any cash taken from them will not come back to you. Its only a misdemeanor to steal deposit boxes, felony to rob a bank teller.

        Hell my insurance agent advised me not to keep more than $500 in my safe incase its broken in to. Thats all they willingly cover because its my word vs theirs and I could claim to have a million in cash.
