This is probably a ridiculous idea, but ya know, it was a fleeting thought that initially started as a joke and then the thought process took over...
If the threat of background checks for ammo purchases is made good, could an enterprising person create a brick and mortar store that required a membership in order to shop there ala Costco? I made a joke and called it "The Ammunition Club," whereby prospective members applied for a membership with a yearly due. The background check is done only once for membership purposes and kept in a member file; from then on, it wouldn't have to be made again because a person now has membership. Maybe add extra services like free PPT for members or discounts after a certain number of purchases.
Like I said, it's a dumb idea, hilarious actually, but in the current California climate it could be a reality.
