The .30cals may be Blackhawk cans, made in USA.

Yes they are. Both Costcos near me have plenty on hand.

I picked up a pair this week and just today I compared them to military issued ammo cans and they are nearly identical in quality and gauge of material. If you cannot get the genuine article, these will serve you well.

I just picked up a couple USA-made ones at the walmart 3 minutes from my house yesterday for $14.99 each. Didn't even have to pay for annual club store dues or a plane ticket.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

I can't see those Costco cans wasting away any faster than the real deal stuff, if it's in your garage etc..... they're really nice.

That would be awesome, but unlikely. Costco has a corporate "no weapons" policy, with no exemption for CCW... one of the several reasons I didn't renew my membership last year.

I've *heard* (but not tried) that you can shop at Costco without a membership if you have a gift card. One of those nifty new CA gift card laws - something about how you can't charge someone money in order for them to use their gift card. So if you buy some stuff there once in a while, but not enough to justify a membership, have someone get you a gift card.

You can also buy alcohol there without a membership, because of some other law against membership costs for liquor purchases.

My bad, I thought it was $19.99 for one. That's not a bad deal then if they're good cans.

The way I see it, Costco has never let me down with quality for the price. I have no reason to suspect their ammo cans are any different.

As to Costco's no weapons policy, remember that they sell gun safes all the time, and now they have ammo cans. I am under the impression that their stance against weapons in the store is a legal one, in case someone goes and does something stupid like that jack *** who fired his ccw through his sock at a graduation, injuring someone.

I agree, would never happen, especially not California Costcos. But would be so awesome to have Kirkland Signature ammo. Ha ha can you imagine a Costco gun dept with Kirkland Signature AR? It would be so cool and hilarious to see the Kirkland Signature symbol stamped on an AR receiver.

I think you just gave me an idea for my next AR build

Either that or maybe a Chuck E Cheese logo, with the text "50,000 tickets" in big red print.

The Costco in La Habra has them. It is a "pair" of cans - a .30 cal nested inside of a .50 cal can. Yeah, they're made in China
