My first was an inherited Iver Johnson .410 single-barrel break-action. My first purchase was a Glock 36.

A Colt GM (1911A1) back in the 70's.

My first was a Remington 1100LW in .410. My dad used to do odd jobs for a local country store owner and knew we were having problems with Jack rabbits eating our young vines, stunting their growth. So while installing some cabinets for him, he calls me over to look at this beauty he just got in. He hands it to me and tells me to test it on those jackrabbits. Time after time he would refuse to talk about payment. Years later he calls me up to do the transfer paper. He never accepted payment for it. I loved that old guy. Still have it, and my son knows it's going to him when he gets a little older along with my great uncle '94, his great uncle Ray's '94, and his great, great grandfather's pump Remington.22.

First pistol - SW Model 17 22LR, got it when I was 11
First shotgun - POS 20g single shot that my older brother handed down (he has it now)
Still have the 989 and the 17

I was 11 and my folks gave me a Remington single shot bolt action rifle. I can't remember the model # but it was a sweet shooting rifle and I kept it through high school.

Two years later I was given a Ruger Single-Six with interchangeable cylinder.
