You can get a gorgeous BCM lower 0already assembled) with a nice polished trigger and super quality parts or go the more budget route and get an Anderson for like $225. That is what is gonna get banned. Uppers (for now) are safe so you can get that anytime you want, later. Window for those lowers though... is fast closing

If i didnt have an AR right now, and didnt have the money to build one, I would buy 3-4 lowers. Get them on the books now then build them later.

You need a shotgun as well, very nice start though

Yeah, I would like to have the .45acp version but no.....not on roster. I have the 9mm version and I like it, it is very easy to shoot with it very low felt recoil.

                          Let' see:
At 22, I had my 9mm BHP, 357 Ruger GP100, and Rem870 and I figured that is it I have all I need. No more.

Then back in 1990's everyone started moving to 0.40 and ditching the 9mm. So then I joined the 0.40 bandwagon. OK then no more. I was set.

Then the 0.45 bug kicked in. OK then no more.

What no rifle? OK then my next 10 years were on long guns. Bolt action, AR, mini14 etc. I'm set now..really don't need anything after that.

Now what red-blooded American doesn't have a 0.22LR? Me! So that was the next phase.

Then wait a second, no compact and subcompacts? What if CCW ever became a reality in my count (yeh right. I live in Alameda county) Time to buy the compacts and sub compacts.

Oh no! The SSE is about to end!!!! My phase in 2014. Must get the VP9, p320, p250 etc before I can never get it again.

                          and you get the picture...

It will end when my eyes and hands fail me, until then it is amazing how much you can squish into a safe if you arrange it like a complicated Tetris puzzle. It is remembering how you did it, that gets tricky.

Haha!! You'll be buying and selling for many decades to come, OP

At your age I tended to hold onto guns, but now I move guns in and out of my collection all the time. There's no gun I own that I wouldn't sell if I lose interest in it or something "better" comes along.

IMHO, life's too short to keep guns you don't shoot or that don't interest you anymore. YMMV, etc.
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
                            Come on...what harm??

They used a crowbar on my door, broke in my bathroom window, and then bashed a hole in my wall to get into the attached garage..
They were hellbent on getting in to my house.

So that's 12 guns that I've bought so far.
I had 1 stolen, so that doesn't count.
But I finally found the guns I can stick with for a while:
                                -Beretta PX4 in 40
                                -Glock 26 in 9mm
                                -S&W M&P 15 II in 5.56
I don't know why but when I bought the other 8 guns (stolen Glock 19 not included) pretty much the second I picked them up I wanted to trade them for something different.
My three current guns I finally feel are the ones I should stick with.
I do want to add a Glock 19 back in though.
I dont have any of these guns anymore haha.
