They bought the rifle IMHO. If they are unable to provide all the parts it came with, or replace, it is theirs.

The issue is not a reimbursement of what you paid them. They intentionally discarded an object that you had purchased. Look at it this way, what if they threw out the stock, bolt or stock, they would be responsible for the loss that they caused.

Way to pick through and choose what you read. No people said alot of LEO shop there, the people who work there screwed up.

OP if I were you, I would withhold any and all payment from them. Did you purchase the rifle through them? If so, CC dispute and make em squirm.

Well, more than one member chose to bring up the LE reference, when it has no bearing at all on the OP's issue.

People should stick to the issue IMO. Way to ignore what others wrote.

I purchased direct through Anschutz USA in Georgia, Crosshairs did the Cali FFL transfer is all.

I would just think someone would respect others property and not ASSume I would not want the packing and through it out because it might be in their way.

                      I'll put this out:
They are run by former military and police and have that mindset.
M&P use their weapons as tools and do not have a collectors or resale mindset.
They dumped the box because to their minds, it is something that will be tossed once a tacticool bag is found.

                      THAT IS NO EXCUSE.

They should get a new rifle for OP or quit doing business with civilians.

It's not unusual to post "general observations" about a shop when it comes up in a thread.

Way to ignore what others wrote, well you didn't actually do that. Way to get incredibly defensive and butthurt when no one was actually blaming LEO for the situation in the OP, yeah, that's more like it.

PS: Adding facepalms doesn't make an inaccurate observation or statement any more accurate.

The shop has very high prices.
The shop caters mainly to LEO.
The guys inside are very nice.
The shop F'd up and threw this dudes box out.

Not that hard to understand, unless you're overly sensitive.

Never heard of something like this. In 30 some years of going to gun shops, I have never heard of a shop receiving a new gun for a customer and throwing away the Box, expecting to just hand the customer a naked gun and a booklet at delivery. That is about as stupid and as douchey as a shop can get and/or operate.

OP, are you sure this is the very gun that you bought and not one they had in the back room? May be, they kept your brand new gun with the box and you are getting the one they had taken in a trade or something. It is a wild guess but not too far fetched considering the shop tells you they throw away your new gun's box. Also, add the shop's name to your thread title by clicking "Edit" and then "Advanced" and you can change the title. This kind of thing should not be happening.

As a side note, shops that mainly cater to LEOs tend to treat civilians as little people. Not LEO's fault but the shop's and their employee's fault for getting a feeling of grandeur and treating civilians differently and not with same respect. Again, not LEO's fault, just a douchey shop and management.
