    Poor service

I would like to advise everybody to stay away from "Crosshairs USA" in Torrance, CA

I just had them do a FFL on a very expensive new Anschutz rifle and they decided to just up and throw away the factory box with serial number / identification..

Not sure why, I have NEVER had this happen before, I did not even get a phone call for permission to do so..

Very pissed... Lost a lot of value in that FU...

Did you ask them why they would do this? What did they say?

I avoid that place just due to the insane pricing. Not the "hey it's a brick and motor, so it's gonna be a bit more" pricing, I understand that.

It's the "WTF kinda pricing is this, I better get a back rub when this is over" pricing.

        Wow.

I would be pissed after paying that much and have them throw away the box.

Yeah I sometimes wonder how they can still stay in biz with those insane prices. I drive by that place everyday and it's always empty. I believe they mainly cater to the law enforcements in the south Bay Area.

              You are correct.

              They are nice people.

I felt (right or wrong) that the general public must be paying for the discounts that they give to LEO and quit going.

Call manufacturer and see what they can do it's a box with a sticker . Not like a firearm .I do understand what your saying about the financial aspect . Mean it more of its not a huge deal I would think to have them send you a new box .

They can send me a new box, but cannot re-produce sticker.. Might as well put it in a Ruger 10/22 box.. LOL

So many bad comments on that place I have never gone to the store. No idea on how they stay in business this long. They cater to LEO. That's OK. But remember LEO can have the tax deductions. I go to Sharpshooters when I buy online for bolt guns.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

I would demand a refund of several hundred dollars. An Anschutz is a collector's firearm, and the manufacturer's shipping container has value. That store just ruined any chance of that firearm being a collectible. I watch ebay for some firearm shipping containers and depending on the firearm, the shipping containers can have a value of several hundred dollars.

Specifically what would you recommend to have prevented this mishap?
