The price is not unreasonable based on some quick internet searches.

Guess I am in the minority, I have always felt HK, while they make nice guns, are massively overvalued. That rifle, IMHO, is not much better than a run of the mill DD or LWRC that costs half the price. It's not built better, more reliable or more accurate. You are paying a lot of extra money for that little HK logo on the receiver.

Agree. HK AR pattern rifles seem to carry quite the premium. The EXTREME competition in the AR market has given us amazing options for muuuuuuch cheaper.

PWS, LWRC, LaRue, Les Baer, LMT.

I'd rather have a LMT MWS and 4 barrels for different calibers and 4 bolts for that price. And better glass.

It looks like a average range shooter yeah it has some nice optics but I don't think it is worth it IMHO. I'd maybe go up to $850-900 bucks I'm almost certain that I can assemble a comparable gun not including the optics. Unless it was a true select fire then might be worth it.
