I "got me a feelin'" that this will be so popular that aftermarket barrels, bolts and mags will start appearing to make this a new, second, Barbie Doll for us!

      Like all of these?
There are no great men. Just great challenges which ordinary men, out of necessity, are forced by circumstance to meet.

.308. Gonna shoot it for a while with an eye towards an aftermarket 6.5CM barrel down the road. I was looking at the rebarreling process and it looks pretty straight forward.

There are several companies making aftermarket barrels for these in a variety of calibers already, and at least one offering aftermarket bolt shrouds and bolt handles too. Plus the stock, handguard, grip, and selector are AR15 pattern so you can do just about anything you want with those. The factory barrel is threaded 5/8-24 so you have a ton of options for muzzle devices too if you want to go that route.

On the mag side the rifle has a new magwell system and already takes a variety of existing .308 magazines including ACIS, some M14 mags, M110, SR25, DPMS, and magpul mags without modification.

Considering all of this, the 1k price point, and the positive reviews, it seems pretty hard to go wrong with one of these.

For me being able to shoot it this summer would be worth paying close to retail.
Being a bolt action rifle, I think this gun is relatively safe from the gun grabbers. At least for the near future. It's the semi-autos I'm worried about

A guy at our range here at Pala Indian Reservation took one out (308 variant) and couldn't hit a 24 inch steel plate at 800 yards.
800yds from a 20" 308 can be to far depending on the bullet and charge . 168gr SMK from a 20" barrel will likely be tumbling by the time it gets to 800yds . Do you know what bullet and load they were shooting ? If I were to be shooting 800yds from a 20" barrel in 308 . I'd likely be shooting the 155gr Palma smk because you'll be able to get the velocity up compared to the heavier bullets you normally would use for long range in a 308 . It has a BC of .470 in the velocity range the 20" barrel would likely have 2700fps to 1700fps .

Anyone else find it sad that those who preach tolerance CAN'T allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of (something that they do not necessarily like or agree with) without interference.

I write almost everything in a jovial manner regardless of content . If that's not how you took it please try again

Seems more like an "it's the indian, not the arrow," kind of thing.

Did you have to send yours back for the recall?

I didn't actually get the rifle until February, this year. They seem to have addressed most of the issues on the early models. I really like mine and im glad I waited for it.
