I reported it to the range employees but you don't wanna be in that next lane when there is an accidental discharge. Newbies gotta learn, sure, but it should be a law to have an experienced person accompany any newbie. Lots of people don't take firearm safety as serious as it really should be.

Plus TM is known as suicide central for the bay area. One of the few places where guns can be rented.
Jackson Arms and Reed's also have rentals.

Well here in Southern Cal. the ranges that do rent firearms. Require that you be with another person in order to rent. In other words you cannot go to the range by yourself and rent a gun. I can see the reason for this rule.

*Sigh* Target Masters does, too. This has been mentioned many times. The woman brought people with her to the range when she rented the gun. They were not present when she shot herself, though. There is still speculation as to whether they knew what she going to do and were facilitating to a degree, or if she deceived them and told them that some other friends would pick her up; etc. (this is speculation).

Ahh, so in SoCal you have to shoot your companion FIRST then shoot yourself... Thats efficiency at its finest

Weird, Ive rented guns by myself in LV all the time, MGs and regular guns. Whenever my ol' lady goes to Lost Wages I try to avoid spending any time around my hose monster of a mother in law, so I bail to the "casino" and blow all my cash at the range

I still don't get why they charge $50 for 25rds of .223 in a M249, but its only $20 for the same 25rds out of an M16...I guess its that much work to link the belts LOL I even asked the range monkey that question one time and he told me it was "special" ammo for the M249... uh huh..sure.
