These threads continue to amaze me. When Stag Arms tells me all complete rifles are at least six months out, LMT says 16-20 weeks for lowers and uppers, and RRA is still 20 weeks out, do you really think they are going to catch up right now, in a month, or anytime soon?

I keep hearing people say it will come down soon just like the housing market. They say prices are already coming down. Where? Who has complete rifles in stock? Who has complete lowers? Who has uppers?

However, I don't know what I am talking about. I just sell this stuff for a living. There is no shortage. Don't worry about it. The bottom will fall out as soon as Obama takes over and there will be a surplus and prices will drop. Don't worry.

You know, I can be an honest dealer and share my experiences without being in it for more money. But hey, I have been trying to tell you this thing is bad since November and I was told then I was just creating fear, uncertainty and doubt and the prices would come down in a month or two and supply would quickly catch up. I still haven't seen it and am still waiting.
www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.

A better question is when will inventories be up so items are available.

Uhmmm, When he is out of office and no new legislation has been introduced. His history and support of all antigun is well documented.

Right now is about the time that the vultures swoop in and buy out the gun stores as new stock comes in only to double the prices and re-sell them
kinda like they did when the ps3 and the xbox360's first came out

my girlfriend and one of my buddies have pre-paid on lowers back in November (days after the election) and their orders still have not been filled!
I suspect that as soon as gun stores get thier stock in, they're still going to be "sold out" as they take care of all the existing pre-paid customers, or at the least, the ones on the waiting list, they won't be anything left for these said vultures.

In order to live up to the hype (and be a good President), I believe that Obama will need to devote his energies on getting the economy on track. Any feelgood (at least for the anti-gunners) gun-ban legislation won't happen until the more pressing issues are addressed. If he decides to do a gun-ban early in his presidential term, it will only serve to divide the country more at a time when he needs broader support to deal with the bigger issues.

That being said, I think that a lot of people will find themselves MORE cash strapped in 2009. Those individuals who stockpiled guns beyond their ability to pay for them will find that OLLs and bullets are not nearly as tasty as something like... well.. food... and will be forced to sell them on the open market to make ends meet.

Apparently, the unemployment rate in California is now over 8%! Economists predict that this number will top out ~9% in 2009. Sound like a good time to prioritize firearms over necessities of living? Probably not.

When I say gun, I'm referring to rifles mostly, but handguns, too.
                        I say,,, tax time.
