Lenny just rebuilt his on-line store.

Saw him at SHOT, didn't stop to talk.

I've ordered some little things and had no issues.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Ive spoken to so many firearm online retailers in the last 6 months, in the next year, I think customers will be getting better online buying experiences. The industry is pretty much still in circa 1999-2005. Most of it wont be for long.

I'll be flying out Monday talking to 6 stores for rebuilds.
I understand...a lot small businesses doesn't have large budgets for their eCommerce sites but even very small ones like Reactive Gunworks tells you want they have "in stock" plus delivery fast service, communication and excellent return policy. Additionally, if a company doesn't offer real time stock inventory and you call them to verify stock and then order immediately and they don't actually have and you end up waiting six weeks, more than once, well that's another story isn't it?

I really like the look of the new site, however still no real time stock inventory. And yes mistakes happen in all businesses, but when it happens frequently over a period of years there is something fundamentally flawed at the management level. An other aspect which is interesting is they sent the wrong part after waiting six weeks (when I was told before ordering it was in stock) and when I called to get an RMA they told me if the packaging was opened they would not accept it for return or exchange. They also said they would pay for the return postage and I would receive it by email the next day. It's been 4 days now not counting Sunday and no return postage.

What you say is true. A small company with a great programmer can have an excellent online store. But that story ends with the whole business dependent on that programmer. He bails, gets sick, takes up meth, or dies, they will be in a **** hole.

Businesses between 10k to 3M in sales these days will usually rely on "boxed" solutions. A lot of business think 5K is a decent budget. And there are 80 per month solutions. Even the 15K builds fall short of a cutting edge site.

My take, you have multple stores and a successful website, expect it to cost pretty much like a physical store if you want it to be the best that it can be. 5-10M sales will cost ya 100-150K to build and about 30-50K to maintain every year excluding staffing for marketing and operations.

I've only had one purchase there- a KelTec KSG. No problems at all with the transaction.

They also moved from Murphy Canyon Road to Ruffner & Ronson, still in Kearney Mesa.
